The Dawn of a New Era in Funeral Service

The Memorial Collective

The Memorial Collective is the company. The Collective is the funeral homes, artists, makers, technology partners and creators who contribute to the work. Each brings something different to a shared purpose: helping people see more possibility in remembrance.

Not a catalog.
A connected system.

Each part of the work has a different role. Tribute Art™ gives remembrance a place in everyday life. Vigil.ai is intended to make the work around care lighter. Funeral.Shop is being developed to make meaningful offerings easier to discover. Tribute Centers imagine a place for gathering. Together, they are meant to give families more choice and funeral homes more strength.

A wider conversation

Imagine what remembrance can be

The Collective works to change how people think and talk about remembrance by opening a wider conversation that starts long before a moment of need and reaches far beyond the arrangement room, so more people understand what is possible before they have to decide.

Embellished Art

Made with meaning

Create what people can hold onto

The Memorial Collective creates its own exclusive line of physical pieces, made to help people see remembrance differently and find new meaning in it. Nothing is made simply to have more products. Each piece begins with a question of meaning and ends as something a family can hold, live with and pass on.

Carried forward

Hold remembrance for the generations ahead

A funeral lasts a day. Remembrance can last far longer. What we build is made so that children and grandchildren can still find a person years from now: where they rest, the places and moments that shaped them, and something of who they were that can still be heard and felt.

Discovery becomes access

Bring new possibilities within reach

Knowing something exists is not the same as being able to reach it. We are developing ways for families to explore new possibilities with trusted funeral professionals. The aim is to connect discovery with local guidance, through relationships built with participating homes and partners.

Lift up funeral service

Funeral service holds an essential place in community life. The Collective brings new ideas, tools, creative partnerships and public understanding together to help that role grow stronger, so remembrance can become more personal, relevant and connected to the way people live today.

What could you bring to the work?

If your work could open a new possibility in remembrance, tell us what you bring and what you would like to explore. That includes ideas we have not built a place for yet.
